The Hands Are Ranked As Follows:

1) No Pair - which would be high card in the hand.

2) One Pair - Ace is always the highest pair and deuces (2's) are the lowest.

3) Two Pair - the highest pair designates how big the 2 pair is - Aces and 4's would beat 10's and 5's.

4) Three Of A Kind - 3 tens, 3 kings, etc.

5) Straight - 5 cards in consecutive order, the Ace plays either high or low, as in A-2-3-4-5 or 10-J-Q-K-A and the A-K straight is bigger.

6) Flush - 5 cards in the same suit.

7) Full House - 3 of a kind and one pair, as in A-A-A-K-K (that's the biggest possible full house).

8) Four Of A Kind - such as Q-Q-Q-Q or 3-3-3-3.

9) Straight Flush - 5 cards in consecutive order in the same suit, with the best possible hand being a Royal Flush which is A-K-Q-J-10 all in the same suit. If there were 2 royal flushes in the same hand, the pot would be split as one is not better than the other one.
